Perform and assist with various electronic systems installations, servicing, repairs, and technical support.

 Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Install, program and service video surveillance and security alarm systems.
  • Assist with access control systems and automatic door installations, servicing and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot systems and network issues, provide customer assistance in person, by phone or email.
  • Excellent product knowledge, ability to clearly explain product features and benefits to customers.
  • Educate customers on use, care and maintenance of electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of safety codes and regulations, making sure all work performed is in compliance.
  • Maintain records of work performed and submit completed work orders.
  • Manage tools, equipment, materials and service vehicle.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work site environment.
  • Represent TLS and its respective customers professionally.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
  • Assist other technicians, office staff and management as needed.
  • Participate in on-call roster to provide 24-hour emergency services as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, bilingualism (French/English) is essential.
  • Focused on providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong technical background with willingness to learn and train in new technology.
  • Ability to deal with customers and vendors pleasantly and professionally.
  • Prepared to use own tools and personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly, efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to safely and reliably drive and maintain a service vehicle.
Job Requirements: 
  • High school diploma, post-secondary education or technical certification is an asset.
  • Experience with network cabling, video surveillance and security alarm installations.
  • Bondable, possess a clear police record check.
  • Insured with a valid G driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract.
  • Willingness to travel, serving Timmins and surrounding areas of northeastern Ontario.
  • Working at heights, WHIMIS, First Aid Certified is an asset.
